Hello, my name is Lenya! Yesterday, we had a performance. That was great!
We woke up at 8:00 as usual, had our usual activities like English and Rover time, and then went to the park to play «Capture the flag». The idea of the game is to get the flag from another team, but it’s not so easy. We needed to work together and create our own strategy. I really enjoyed the game, especially because we got the 1st place.
After that, we had a tasty lunch. During rover time, we wrote the plot of our performance, we needed to create a useful robot or gadget. I thought our performance was the best. We had a nice robot. After that, we had candlelight. We spoke about our day, then we went to bed and slept.
It was a nice day. Also, the day before, we had an English test. I and Platon had the best results. I am happy that I did so well on my test. Also, we have very nice counselors. I think they are smart and wise.

Who says you have to be a child again to experience the excitement that comes with that season of life?
MMC has given me the opportunity to laugh freely and to be a child again. As a counselor, I enjoy watching the children, seeing them smile, sharing in their struggles, and making their stay here seamless.
I enjoy the admiration in their eyes when I translate their difficult words into English. I enjoy the silence that ensues once I begin to sing them to sleep. The excitement in my heart when they say I am the most intelligent person they have met.
Before I get carried away by my excitement, let me introduce myself. My name is Olamide Oyelami Grace, but I go by Grace here. I am a graduate of Strategic Corporate Finance. I am originally Nigerian, but I like to identify myself as a global citizen.
The day yesterday was almost perfect. Weather-wise, activity-wise, food-wise—in every way, actually. I appreciate the effort dedicated to make each day better than the previous day.
We won the capture the flag game competition with 3 points to nil. We had second place on our night performance, which was surprising, but we know we did nothing but the best. The candlelight has to be my favorite part of the day. An opportunity for us to wind down emotionally. I hope to incorporate this into my daily life. Did I mention my co-counselor, Sasha? He is super amazing!
If I had the chance to be a child again, even though I don’t have to be, I’d tell my parents to take me to Nerekhta.
But while I await a fantasy come true, I will enjoy being a counselor to the kids because I become like one of them.
