Hi there,
My name is Varya, and I am a member of the Red Crew. I live in Yaroslaval and this is my fourth time participating in this camp. In what follows, I will share with you one of our days in the camp and why we can’t stop coming here.
It was a big day for us at this time in the camp because we were going to take our English Test. We had been preparing for days for it, but I was nervous in the earlier part of the day. However, our Captains encouraged and calmed us down during our first crew gathering. Although difficult for me, I found the test also very interesting. The test consisted of three parts: listening, reading and writing. I think I did this task not badly.
After the test, we had our crew gathering, during which time we prepared our stations for our evening activity, Business game. My crew had to prepare our stations to suit the culture of Japan. This gave me the opportunity to at least learn something about the people of Japan. We came up with these three stations: Tattoo, Sumo and Just dance. In the tattoo station, clients were introduced to some common Japanese drawings to also be accustomed with their culture and then select their preferred tattoo to be drawn on their arm. Sumo is a Japanese style of wrestling and the country’s national sport. At this station, two individuals need to compete for a certificate. At the just dance station, one had to dance to some Japanese tunes by repeating the movements. I was extremely excited when my crew earned the first place at the end of the game. Our efforts paid off because each one of us gave his/her all during the preparations.
In the later part of the evening, there was a table football tournament for which I participated. I feel wonderful emotions while playing as other members of the cam watching were cheering us on. As I laid in bed at the end of the day, I couldn’t help but feel incredibly happy and grateful. Every time spent in this camp is incredibly special because of the friendships we’ve made, the talents we’ve developed, and the memories we’ve made. I invite everyone to come back next time so you may witness this amazing feat for yourselves!
