Time To Listen To A Tale

Nomad’s Story

Hello,
My name is Alisa and I’m from the Cure crew. Today we did rock climbing at sports, it was fun and our coach Maksim was teaching us very well. I didn’t make it to the top, but I tried very hard! Then we went to workshop and Polina showed us how to make a dreamcatcher shaped like the moon, it was really interesting.

At English time we were talking about films and we watched a video about them.

As the evening event we had a performance that we were preparing through the day. We made mistakes but it was really funny. After that we have candlelight where we played truth or dare. The day was so fun and I had great time.

Vizier’s Story

Hello everyone!

My name is Uliana, and I’m the vizier of the red team—the Cure Crew. This is my first time visiting MMC ever, and I’m very glad to be able to experience it fully with my team. Every day in our Oasis is spent helping the Sultan with various tasks and problems. Watching children grow into confident English speakers is a joy that never fades. At MMC, we believe that language opens doors to opportunities, and I’m grateful to play a part in that journey.

Today started with music that called everyone to the sportsground, where we had a very energetic warm-up. With everyone awake and ready for the day, the team had a huddle where we talked about the word of the day, the phrase of the day, and the tongue twister of the day. After some much-needed breakfast, we had Bedouin training, where the kids learned how to climb the tallest mountains. Everyone got to try to ring the bell at the top of the rock-climbing wall—some were more successful than others, but everyone had fun.

During the second huddle of the day, we came up with a lot of ideas for our performance in the evening. The theme was Ilya Muromets and Nightingale the Robber. The crew had great ideas for characters and plot, so we started working on them. Later, in the Alchemy lab, the kids made some moon-shaped dreamcatchers that everyone decorated however they wanted. And during English class, the teachers talked about actors and films with the kids.

The main event of the day was the evening performance! The kids worked hard and tried their best. Some mistakes were made, but they are fixable. The most important thing is that we all had fun! Even during candlelight, no one was sad or frustrated—we all agreed that we can and will do better and that mistakes are okay.

Farewell and all the best,
Uliana Mochalova
