Hi there!
I am Vova, a thirteen-year-old boy who lives in Moscow. This is my fourth time joining the camp here at MMC and I rate it as the best among all. Although we are here to have fun, I am impressed with the organization and the several activities we do here to improve ourselves.
Today was packed with exciting activities and new experiences. We started the day with a team-building exercise, “Capture the Flag”. The game was played in a park outside the camp and my team played against the red crew. Each team had to work together to navigate through the other and claim their flag, which required a lot of communication and cooperation. It was amazing to see how quickly we learned to rely on each other, and by the end of the activity, we had formed a strong bond. After the game, we came back to the camp and had our crew gathering. During this time, we were to work together and create a video clip for the song “Head above water” composed by Avrill Lavinge. Our wonderful captains played the song for us and helped us to understand what the song meant. We discussed among ourselves how to create the story for this song. Unfortunately, we couldn’t finish and had to go for shipyard.

At shipyard, we made sea creatures out of cardboards and cartons. It was a fantastic way to let our creativity shine. Some of us made colourful fish, while others crafted sharks and star fish. The room was filled with laughter and excitement as we cut, glued, and painted our masterpieces. This activity not only allowed us to express our artistic side but also taught us the importance of recycling and using materials creatively. Lunchtime was a welcome break, and the food here is fantastic. Excitement filled the dining hall as we talked about our best moments of the morning. After lunch, we had a nap time to refreshen ourselves. After, we went for next our crew gathering during which time finalized our story and began shooting the video. At the same time, other members of the crew were designing a shrimp costume for our evening event. This shows the love and togetherness of our team.

Later we had snacks and continue with the favourite activity of everyone, stations-at-options. There were English games, workshop and sports. I chose sports and went for swimming. Although it was fun, I improved my skills as we challenged ourselves with interesting tasks in the pool. We had diner afterwards and rested for the evening event. Finally, we began our evening event where each crew had to present their costumes of sea creatures and their special costume for one person. It was amazing to see how creative every crew was adding a touch of ingenuity to their decorations. After the show, we ended the day we a disco as we danced and shared lovely moments with each other.
All in all, today’s activities were the ideal balance of enjoyment, education, and community building. Not only has the camp given me unforgettable memories, but it has also assisted me in developing personally. I’m eager to find out what awaits us tomorrow!
