Nomad’s Story

Hello! My name is Daniil Nesterenko. I’m a part of Red Team.
I would say that every day is different from the previous. So, yesterday the weather was perfect. Our day started with a warm-up: we danced, did some exercise and have fun. After warm-up we had free time to clean our rooms and then have breakfast.

After morning routine we had our lessons. During sports we divided into 3 teams and played floor-ball. Then we had our workshop time during which we finished to make “lucky moon” which is supposed to be our amulet. Then we had group time. There we started our preparation for evening performance: create the plot and assigned roles. During English we learned how to write a story. This was really useful because now we know a lot of new words and phrases. Then we fully immerse into preparation and had breaks only to have lunch and snacks. Frankly speaking, we were just a little short of making it into the top three.

All in all,the day was interesting and full of diverse events and activities. I really like spending time in the MMC because the atmosphere is friendly, supportive and pleasant.

Vizier’s Story

Hello! My name is Arina and I’m a counselor of the Red Team at MMC. My main duties are interacting with children, preparing various games for grouptimes, helping them in various activities, for example, during workshops and trainings. I am also very interested in their English level improving, so I always communicate with them in English. Our main aim is to spend time with them qualitatively and productively.

Today we had a performance — we got a definite topic, then we had to make it in eastern style and performed. So, our messengers were given the topic “Teremok”. We decided to change animals: a camel instead of a bear, a jerboa instead of a mouse, a snake instead of a frog. Also it was like a TV-show: we divided the stage into 2 parts. The first part was like an interview and the second like a show of ordinary life. Also we had a host who was responsible for surveys and comments on specific situations of participants(animals). Unfortunately, we got the fourth place, however a great team work was done during the day. My partner David and I divided our team into several groups. Every of them was responsible for a separate part, for example, for the plot, for the costumes, for the dance, for the decorations. All in all, it is getting better every day. In my opinion, we do our best for our team and I think they appreciate and understand it.

In conclusion I would say that if I were a child, I would definitely chose MMC for improvement of my English level. The programme is really fascinating every day. The kids have all kinds of activities and just imagine that all of that is spent in English. Except counselors, there are teachers, organisers and directors and they are really interested in what they are doing: they always help others, think about every child and enjoy the process. It is important to mention that this is my first time working as a counselor and I am very glad to choose this definite place.
