RED CREW ARTICLE OF THE DAY

Hello everyone!

Today was a fantastic Friday, despite the weather being a bit colder than usual. The chill didn’t deter us, as all the kids and staff at the MMC were in high spirits, ready to seize the day.

Allow me to introduce myself. I’m David, also known by my sea name «Starfish.» I’m from Ghana, but I study at the National Research University Higher School of Economics. While I’m a native English speaker, I consider myself a global citizen due to my proficiency in English and my diverse experiences.

Our day kicked off on a high note with an energetic warm-up session in the morning. All the kids and captains participated enthusiastically. Following the warm-up, the kids tidied up their rooms. Then, the yellow and green crews enjoyed breakfast while the blue and red crews held their first group gatherings. During these meetings, we discussed the previous day’s activities and checked in on everyone’s health, which is always our top priority.

In the first common meeting of the day, each crew was assigned a task to create a performance based on an investigation theme. My crew, the Red Crew known as the «Tide Hunters,» was tasked with investigating the mystery of the lost magic hand. This challenge was incredibly fun and engaging for all of us. Additionally, the kids participated in their pre-English assessment of the session. However, particularly regarding my kids in the Red Crew, known as the Tide Hunters, they found the test to be enjoyable, describing it as «easy peasy lemon squeezy.» They thoroughly enjoyed the experience of taking the test. In the evening, all crews showcased their performances about the on stage. Every crew did an outstanding job, but I’m proud to say that the Red Crew, captained by Julia and myself, emerged victorious. The kids in our crew were thrilled with our success.

To wrap up the day, we had a candlelight session where we shared our thoughts and emotions about all the day’s activities. It was a beautiful moment of reflection and bonding.

If I ever had the chance to relive my childhood, I would definitely ask my parents to send me to MMC in Nerekhta. Until that dream comes true, I cherish my role as a captain, enjoying the freedom and joy of childhood through the experiences of these wonderful kids. If you think there’s a better adventure out there, I will say, you must be joking.

Hi!!

Today was an interesting and cool day as it being  a Friday.

We woke up at 8:00 am and had a warm-up and after it we had our usual activities like group gatherings, shipyard etc. We played a volleyball in the morning with my group members in the red crew. Moreover, In the shipyard, we made light house mosaics which was so cool and amazing. After, we took our pre- English test during the day. It was not very hard but i had to think a lot in order to answer some questions hahahaha!!

During the nap time after the lunch, we had our photo session and after station at option began. At the stations, my friends and I were making a sword for our performance. We also had a performance, and it was about the investigation theme. But at the end of the performance, our crew that is the red crew with the sea name Tide hunters became first and it was the best performance so far. After the performance, we had our candlelight. There we shared our feelings and expectations. Then we slept at 22:30.

I think it was one of the best days of this session
