Hello everyone,
I’m Anya and I’m from Moscow. It’s my fourth time participating in this camp and I’m lucky enough to be here. For this session, I’m in the green team, ‘Deep Ocean Watermelons’, and I would like to share with you how we spent our day here in the camp yesterday.
The day began with our morning warmup routine during which we danced to different tunes and crew gathering where we discussed the expressions of the day and plan for the day. We began our lessons with the Shipyard where we made crafts. This day, our craft was about lighthouse mosaics. It was interesting as we cut our plastics with pliers into different shapes of our choice. The next was English where we prepared for our final test. After this, we went for sports and crew gathering. The day’s main activity was a Lip Sync battle, and our crew was tasked to create a dance with music from Adele and Eminem.

During our nap time, some of us together with our lovely Captains, Julia and Davido, prepared the dances to teach the entire crew in the next crew gathering. I would say that it was easy for us, but we nailed it. During the crew gathering, we taught and repeated the dances with the other members. It was an exciting moment filled with a lot of laughter. After this time, we had our ‘Stations at Options’ where we could choose to visit any station. For example, one could go and play Mafia with other cadets or go for sports or even to the Shipyard. My friends and I joined other boys to play football because it looked nice to play as we sat to watch.

Now comes our much-awaited event of the day. Everyone dressed in beautiful clothes and was ready to perform. To be honest, my friends and I were a little nervous. I performed with my best friends, Polina and Alisa and it was so wonderful. Also, we supported other team members. Then we had the best part of the event which every kid loves — disco-disco…teka-teka. Commander Alenych turned on a lot of famous tunes and we danced to them. We really had unforgettable emotions.

I believe that not looking on all our arguments with other teammates during our preparations we will continue to stay as true friend rolling round rapids. At the end of the session, each team becomes a big family that we don’t want to part ways with each other. We will cry a lot, this I know. I will surely miss everyone. MMC is the best camp, and I would love to come back for new feelings.

As the cadets started another exciting day full of learning, collaboration, and entertainment, there was a noticeable sense of enthusiasm in the air. With the warm sun overhead, the day seemed to be one to remember, full of educational, physically demanding, and socially cohesive activities. I’m Davido, a citizen of Ghana, which is located in western Africa. Serving as a Captain at this year’s camp has allowed me to personally observe the life-changing potential of this amazing event. Sit back and relax as I share with you this amazing experience from our camp.
The day kicked off with our team’s first gathering during which we discussed the expressions for the day as well as the day’s schedule. Following was an engaging workshop that allowed cadets to tap into their creative potential. Cadets were encouraged to cooperate with their colleagues, think creatively, and present their original ideas. By the end of the lesson, they had developed closer relationships with one another in addition to learning new abilities. It was time to sharpen language skills in an interactive English lesson. Far from the traditional classroom setting, this lesson was designed to be as fun as it was educational. The focus was on boosting confidence in speaking and listening, and by the end of the session, everyone had learned something new while having a great time.

As the afternoon rolled in, it was time to hit the field for some sports. The focus was on having fun, working as a team, and engaging in healthy competition. We played volleyball, and it was wonderful to see how the team was building resilience as cadets competed amongst themselves. After an active afternoon, we gathered once again to prepare for the highly anticipated evening event. The team was divided into two groups, and each group was tasked with planning and rehearsing their performance for the lip sync battle. This time was crucial for team building, as everyone contributed ideas, practiced their routines, and helped each other perfect their acts. The excitement was contagious, with everyone eager to showcase their talents later in the evening.

The lip sync battle was an artistic and humorous display, with cadets dressing up and putting on performances that made the whole crowd laugh and applaud. Each group hit the stage with an electrifying enthusiasm, belting out memorable performances of popular songs. Following the battle, the night continued with a lively disco. The disco provided the perfect ending to a day that had been filled with learning, collaboration, and pure fun.
As the day ended, it was clear that the campers had experienced something special. They had learned new things, challenged themselves, and made memories that would last a lifetime. The camp continues to be a place where young minds grow, friendships flourish, and everyone leaves with a smile on their face and a story to tell. Here’s to many more days like this one!
