Yesterday we made introductions and started the session, and today we had a lot to do from the very morning. We had to come up with the names of our teams and present it on one of the island meetings! My team did well.

This year we are islanders who build a great tower all together. That’s why today we had to introduce our teams to other ones. Apart from choosing a name for it, we also made a tribal dance for todays evening event Kinfolk Dances. There were two winners: team number 2 with the best «homework» and team number 1, my team, for winning dancing competitions. In my opinion, that was fun!

This year is my 4th year in MMC and my 2nd year as a helper. I did not take part in organising todays dancing event, but I was on the radio this evening. So that means I already said that, but I will say that again: good night guys! That was a good day but we have plenty of those this session! Let’s build this tower together.

Yesterday was our first full day of the fourth session at MMC and it was brilliant! I absolutely adore my new team. Once again, I have the red team, but this time I have a lovely new partner Yana who is wonderfully supportive! Yesterday we picked our group name and team motto, we decided to call ourselves chimney, some people may think it’s an unusual name, but our team loves it, it also gave us the opportunity to use a famous song from the Mary Poppins film as our motto, so I still love it.
My kids went to sports, workshop, and English as usual and they did really well, but of course we also had group time which was wonderful. My kids listened attentively and participated thoroughly throughout group time. Our main task yesterday was to make a tribe dance for our evening performance and my kids made an exceptional dance, which won them a triangle on our pyramid (the points system we use for all our teams this year). I was really proud of both Svetas Alina and Alisa for making our incredible dance and I was also very impressed with how quickly the helpers picked up the dance since they had to miss second tribe time to carry out their duties as helpers, their main one being to host the evening performance, which they did incredibly! I’m so proud of all my team and we’ve only had one full day so far, can’t wait to see what’s in store.
