Nomad’s Story
Hello everyone!
My name is Ksenia Grishina, I am 17 and I am from Kostroma. This session I’m rocking it with the red team called Starlit Caravan. It is an honour for me to share with you our activities as we our beloved session hit the road.
Today was our first full day in MMC. We needed to think about our name and motto. We were very creative and friendly. We made our own song to chant our motto. As for me, our motto is the best :). Since the weather was very hot outside it was a fine opportunity for us to go swimming. The water was cool and was great to refresh ourselves. During nap-time I went sunbathing together with my friends. It was awesome as we shared some jokes while basking in the sun.

In the afternoon we had lessons such as English, group-time and workshop. During our group-time, we played some ice-breaking games to get on well with each other. My favourite was the one where friends had to guess who you are as they draw from a hat individual’s drawings. Later, we discussed our name and motto. It was a little bit challenging, we had a lot of ideas but in the end we were able to come up something epic that truly defines our team spirit. I enjoyed working with others! After that we had workshop. This lesson is my favourite one because I like to create something with my hands. Finally, we had our English lesson. We were practicing speaking skills in a more interactive way.

In the evening, we had a more relaxing and soothing event on the sport ground. We were divided into 5 circles to dance around to some beautiful melodies. We needed to come up with funny dances as the staff team splashed us from water guns, making it more hilarious. After that we had a disco. The music was perfect, the lights were soft and magical, and everyone danced freely, just enjoying the moment. It felt like the perfect way to wind down!
Since I’m 17, this is my last session and I want to be the best! I surely will miss MMC:)
Vizier’s Story
The long-awaited first day of camp began with excitement and energy as campers jumped straight into a full schedule of activities that set the tone for an unforgettable week ahead. Many returning campers and staff felt a deep sense of joy at being back in a place filled with so many cherished memories. The laughter of friends reuniting, the warmth of meeting new faces, and the happiness of spending time together with the kids created an atmosphere of true celebration. For many, simply stepping back into camp felt like coming home.

Most people at camp know me as Davido – a nickname that’s stuck and I love it! But my full name is David Owusu-Mensah, and I proudly hail from the vibrant country of Ghana, tucked away on the sunny western coast of Africa. As a native English speaker with a big love for meeting new people and sharing stories, I’m always ready to bring a little extra energy and fun wherever I go! I would like to share with you my experience for our first day of our camp so be ready for a story that might just make you wish you were here!

From the moment the day kicked off, the energy was electric – laughter, cheers, and a whole lot of happy chaos filled the air. We dove into epic sports lesson on swimming which was lit for the sunny weather. Campers enthusiastically participated in the lesson as each nomad encouraged teamwork, communication, and, of course, plenty of cheering. We then shifted gears in a crafts workshop that allowed everyone to express his/her creativity. With hands busy and imaginations soaring, each nomad created his/her own unique project, many of which will be treasured as keepsakes for years to come. In the afternoon, the focus turned to learning and communication with engaging English activities. Through interactive games and challenges, nomads practiced their language skills while making new friends and building confidence in a fun, supportive environment.

The day continued with our hurdle, where classes came together to brainstorm and decide on a team name and motto. This session sparked collaboration and unity as nomads shared ideas, listened to one another, and bonded over their shared identities. To close the day, the entire camp gathered for a spectacular evening event filled with melodies and dances. Campers and staff alike sang, clapped, and danced the night away, celebrating the friendships and memories already being made.
The first day’s success set the stage for an amazing week to come. Campers left the evening program glowing with excitement and looking forward to the adventures, challenges, and fun that await them in the days ahead.
