Dance in the Heart of Oasis

Nomad’s Story

Hi there!

I’d like to tell you about our first full day at MMC. The weather was nice, and everyone was excited to get started. You could feel the energy in the air, it really felt like something special was beginning.

In the morning, we followed our usual routine: we had breakfast, did a quick warm up, and cleaned up. After that, we began our activities. There were so many fun things to do, we played sports, took part in a cool workshop, had some silly and fun group time, and worked on our English. We learned new things, practiced different skills, and had a lot of laughs along the way.

After a short rest in the afternoon, we got to work on something creative, coming up with a team name and motto. Everyone shared ideas, and we really tried to make something meaningful that showed who we are. It felt good to work together and support one another.

In the evening, the counselors and staff planned a super fun event for us. Each team had to come up with a dance to a random song. We had to be creative, energetic, and work together to earn points. It was so much fun. We laughed a lot and really enjoyed showing off our moves!

By the end of the day, we felt more connected and ready for the days ahead. This first day gave us a great start, and now we feel even more excited and motivated for the rest of the session.

Talk to you soon,
Alisa

Vizier’s Story

Hi everyone,

What a day it’s been here at MMC English Camp! My name’s Ransford, and this is actually my very first time working at MMC. I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but after just two days, I can already say it’s been amazing.

My role here is to support the kids as they explore English in fun and interactive ways. Whether we’re playing games, sharing stories, or just chatting during meals, I try to help them feel comfortable using the language and, most importantly, enjoy the process. It’s been really rewarding to see how quickly they’re opening up and trying new things.

Today was full of energy and smiles from start to finish. In the morning, the campers were split into color teams, Red, Yellow, Blue, and Green. Each group had the fun task of coming up with their own team name and motto. It was great watching them brainstorm together, share ideas, and agree on something that really represented their team spirit. You could really see their creativity and teamwork shine.

The rest of the day was packed with activities from sports and team building games to a more relaxed moments during team time. One thing that really stood out was how quickly the kids started connecting with each other. They played games where they had to learn about each other’s likes and dislikes, and it didn’t take long for laughter and friendships to fill the air.

But the real highlight? Definitely the disco in the evening. The kids danced their hearts out, sometimes in fun little competitions, other times all together in one big happy group. The energy was just contagious, and it felt like the perfect way to wrap up a full and joyful day.

Looking ahead, I’m really excited to see how the campers continue to grow, not just in English, but in confidence, friendship, and independence. It’s only the beginning, but the vibe here is something special, and I’m really grateful to be part of it.

Until next time,
Ransford
