Today was a cool day. В первой половине дня we had 4 activities: English, Crew Gathering, Shipyard and Sport. На English у нас был speaking test, нам задавали разные вопросы и мы отвечали на них. На Crew Gathering мы придумывали сценарий для нашего вечернего performance, на Shipyard создавали ловцы снов, а на Sport we played handball. Я впервые услышала о такой игре, но она оказалось довольно-таки cool. Затем у нас был потрясающий lunch and nap time. После этого ещё один Crew Gathering, где мы начали постановку нашего performance: у нас был сюжет по мультфильму Shrek, у нас получилось funny and interesting performance. Мы заняли третье место, но ни капельки не расстроились. В общем, день выдался насыщенным и веселым.

Hello there! I’m Obed, a recent master’s graduate from the National Research University, higher School of Economics in Moscow. Summer is here, and once again, I couldn’t wait to experience the thrilling moments and joy of being around kids as an English teacher at MMC. This is my second year at the camp. Having experienced the love and excitement from last year, I thought to myself that there is no better place to work this summer, than MMC. At MMC, the environment is conducive and comforting, perfect for everyone. The kids, counsellors and the staff team are lively and creative, everyone showcase their ability in a profound way. I get to interact with a new group of kids almost every two weeks, and it’s incredibly fulfilling to see them enjoy my lessons.
Just like trees produce new leaves, each session brings something new from kids that is brings different feeling. This session is no different, the kids in this session are ready and willing to learn English. They show this through their seriousness and eagerness to participate in every English lesson and during ‘stations at option’. Here I would like to talk a bit about my activities with kids. I offer tailored English lessons for children starting at 10:00 AM almost every day. The classes are divided into four distinct groups based on the children’s proficiency levels to ensure each kids receives the appropriate level of the lesson. Without hiding my convictions, I will say this session is among my favourite because of the amazing and wonderful kids. At MMC, we understand the challenges children face when learning a foreign language. That’s why we strive to make our lessons both enjoyable and educational. By incorporating games, interactive activities, and engaging content, we create a fun learning environment that keeps children interested and motivated.
I must say that MMC isn’t just a camp; it’s a place of education, adventure and endless discoveries. The interactive and dynamic nature of our sessions ensures that learning is always an exciting adventure for everyone involved. For example, we recently went on a forest camp where we spent time immersed in nature. During this trip, we held interesting English lessons that were seamlessly integrated into the outdoor activities. This unique setting made the learning process an exciting adventure which reinforce the children’s language skills in a fun and memorable way. Additionally, during this session, I have had the opportunity to interact with the kids during stations at options where we usually play their favourite games, such as Mafia. These interactive game helps to improve kids communication skills.
MMC is more than just a summer camp; it’s a place where lasting memories are created. It offers kids a chance to learn, grow, and experience the joys of childhood in a unique and supportive environment.
