Our adventure in Forest Camp or how I run away from wasps

First I wasn’t sure do I want to be The Leader of not, cause I was nervous about remembering all tongue twister and saying, but duty is duty. My duty as a Leader совпало with Forest Camp. I really like this place and I would love it even more if there were not a lot of wasps. Every time when I tried to eat outside of canteen, these terrible animals загоняли меня обратно. But this is nothing по сравнению with a lot of interesting things we did. I enjoyed archering and I was real подслеповатым мастером in this. And we had one very interesting thing today – role game.

Видимо, удача не очень любит меня, I was in the team of People of the Air so I had to run trough the forest most of the time, but it was very funny. Then we ate roasted sausages and I tried маршмеллоу for the first time in my life. Then у нас был праздник Холи. It was colourful but I was wondering if I could wash these color powder from my clothes. I was very tired when we came back to MMC. And the day was not finished yet. Evening был посвящен музицированию, созерцанию and enjoying beautiful music playing. Ко сну я отходил порядочно уставшим, но довольным.

Hello everyone! My name is Anna, and this is my third summer in MMC. Previously I worked as a counselor but this year I have a position as a teacher. MMC is a special place for me. I can`t even imagine a better place for spending summer holidays. The atmosphere here is amazing! There is some magic in each day. And today is not an exception.

Everybody is looking forward to spending time in the Forest camp. These days are different from all the others. The early wake-up, long way to the Forest camp and of course the intense program makes everyone feel ineffable joy! English lessons here are always extremely productive and interesting. The themes are usually connected with nature so today we`ve talked a lot about different environmental and social problems around the world. We`ve had imaginary trips to such places as Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Nepal and Mumbai. Together we dealt with different situations there and tried to find the best solution for each problem. Such kind of speaking task is especially difficult for kids because they need to think globally, analyze situations and of course use maximum of their language knowledge to express their thoughts and ideas. Such lessons not just develop their speaking skills but also encourage critical thinking and broaden kids` worldview.

Not only English lessons here are different. Sport, workshop and group times are also special here. Kids practice new kinds of sport such as archery and shooting, they create something incredible during workshop and of course it is the best place for teambuilding games!

In the evening as usual we had a barbeque at our camp fire, sang songs and played the guitar. But! Today we had something really interesting – Color Party with Holly Paints. It was such fun! Everybody enjoyed it!
