Long-term volunteering
 The history of
international long-term volunteering (LTV) in International
Youth Center
”The Earth – Terre des Hommes” numbers about 10 years. Volunteers foreigners
appeared in Nerehta by different ways. Through the partner organizations,
through familiar … Cintya and Dominique became "involuntary"
volunteers when they were overtaken with winter in woods near Nerhta during
their round-the-world bicycle travel. …
Courses in foreign
languages, competitions, trips of Nerehta’s childrens abroad, meetings, holidays,
the international children's programs, volunteer’s camps and many other things
… became bright traces of activity Mahe Leleux, Dominique Frayer, Cintya Maincent, Charlotte Kabaton and others
in IYC for this time.
 One of the IYC’s principles
is that the person (abilities, desires, features... of the concrete people)
certainly it is more important than a subject activity. If for example the
philologist by formation Mahé Leleux liked her speciality, the basic plot of iher work in IYC was the
organization of courses and competitions in foreign languages. If Cintya and
Dominique like to sing and they had a friend - head of children's chorus in
Belgium, brilliant result of their work
in IYC became the Russian the Belgian children’s
musical program " Nerehta en chor ”.
Therefore
declaring main activities of long term volunteers in IYC as preparation and
carrying out of:
- international volunteer’s
project (work camps);
- children's international programs;
- local social event and projects …
The center
sincerely would try that each employee or volunteer had an opportunity of
personal development and self-realization.
Among actual IYC’s
programs and projects for which long and short term volunteers are required:
 - Program Zany Zabor which has started in August, 2010
- Painting program "Nerehta - one of many"
- The organization
of international children’s-youth specialized programs.
Good conditions
for a life and works. Bright projects. Acquaintances to interesting people.
Trips. This that expects any Volunteer in IYC.
The minimal period
for LTV is 6 months. The motivational letter the detailed resume are desirable. |
